Frequently asked questions

What exactly does Seogard monitor?

Seogard continuously monitors 71 SEO and GEO rules on every page: meta title and description, canonical, accidental noindex, status codes (404, 500, redirects), SSR/CSR regressions, hreflang, Open Graph, llms.txt, blocked AI citation crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Claude-SearchBot) and much more. Every regression triggers a real-time email alert, ranked by severity.

Is Seogard free?

The self-hosted version is free, source available (BSL 1.1 license), with no page limit. The Cloud version is usage-based, for teams that prefer not to run the infrastructure.

How is Seogard different from a classic crawler?

Seogard automatically and continuously compares the raw HTML (what Google indexes) with the JavaScript render (what you see), on every page. Broken SSR goes unnoticed in the browser — Seogard catches it before Google re-renders your pages.

How do alerts work?

Every page is crawled daily. As soon as a change is detected (modified meta, abnormal status code, broken SSR), an alert with the before/after diff is sent by email.
