Cookie Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. It allows the site to remember your actions and preferences for a set period.

2. Cookies used by Seogard

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the Service to function. They do not require your consent.

seogard-tokenAuthentication (JWT access token)7 days
seogard-refreshSession renewal (refresh token)30 days

2.2 Analytics cookies

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly web analytics solution, self-hosted on our own server in Europe (Germany). Umami:

  • Sets no third-party cookies
  • Collects no personally identifiable data
  • Shares no data with third parties
  • Is GDPR-compliant without requiring consent (anonymized data)

2.3 Session recording (journey analytics)

We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to anonymously record browsing journeys and understand where users run into difficulties. This tool:

  • Is enabled only after your explicit consent (the “Accept” button)
  • Masks input fields — your passwords and form content are never recorded
  • Can be turned off at any time by declining cookies
  • Never shares any data for advertising purposes

3. Third-party cookies

Apart from PostHog (journey analytics, enabled only after your consent, hosted in the EU), Seogard uses no advertising cookies (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel). We have no integration with any advertising networks.

4. Managing cookies

You can delete cookies at any time via your browser settings. Deleting the authentication cookies will log you out of the Service.

Seogard.io

Seogard is a continuous SEO and GEO monitoring tool: it compares the raw HTML Google and AI models index with the JavaScript render, and alerts you the moment a regression appears.

Our mission is to protect every indexed page from invisible SEO regressions — before Google finds them.
Goal: 10,000 monitored sites by 2028.
